Week2 (continuation)

5. _______ that people don't know about. Just like the myths, people want to know. So tell them already.

6. A ______ for people who hate ______! Imagine : Classical music for people who hate classical music. That's an actual title of a CD that's being sold in Philippine music stores.

7. Anything Science Fiction. Face it, the people who spend a lot of time online are the early adopters or the geeks. If you get their attention - even if they are not your target market - your article will get a lot of exposure. Specially if these geeks submit your stuff to stumble upon or digg or reedit or some other aggregator like buzzfeed.com.

Jomar, what are the science fiction you want use to feature?  See below:

12 Monkeys
2001 A Space Odyssey
Dark City
1984
I, robot
Matrix
Total recall
Pitch black
Dune

Flash Gordon Star Trek
Battlestar Galactica (very famous as of late)
Foundation Series from Asimov (or anything from him)
Anything from Jules Verne (the classics)
Anything from Ray Bradbury
Anything created by Philip K Dick (You know this, Minority Report etc)

Are just some of the stuff you can cover.

8. Of course, anything Star Wars always gets the geek's attention.  There's an added bonus, submit your work to starwars.com's blog and they'll feature it. If they do, be prepared for some serious/awesome increase of blog visitors.

Let me explain how simple this is. For most people, this is PARIS.

For Parisians, this is Paris:

And so is this:

So this guy, http://www.cedricdelsaux.com/ took photos of images/toys from Star Wars with these ugly Paris cityscapes.

Result? Not only are his photos duplicated worldwide, it's even in an official star wars coffee table book (below)!  It's not even licensed or official.

Even you can do something like that with Star Wars Toys located in Pagadian City or the Windmills of Ilocos. Really

The collection so far is here:  http://worldfamousdesignjunkies.com/blessings/star-wars-on-earth/

So who should you cover from star wars?
Luke Skywalker (twins!)
Leia Skywalker
Anakin Skywalker
Boba Fett (bad guy)
Darth Vader (redemption)
c3po
r2d2
Princess Amidala
Lando Calrissian (for traitors)
Darth Maul (real evil)
Yoda (poetic)
Obi Wan Kenobi (wise liar)

Here's the thing, mention any of the above in a good or bad way in the blog post and lots of people pay attention.

Tip: After you create the blog post, submit it to DIGG.com and Stumbleupon.com

9. Geek anything. Just like the previous two topics.

The geeks control the internet. Pay them homage. Or "bully" them nicely (cast them as "pitiful, needs your support). It works both ways online.

10. Infographics. These are the nice looking diagrams you see below. They are made by people who have the time, artistic talent and interest. Just find an info graphic about your topic and feature it your blog.  Of course comment on the info graphic so you have some contribution.

People love this and will spend time gazing at it in your blog.

A ton of infographics can be found:  http://www.google.com.ph/search?q=infographic+collection&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

Yes, it's another google search. If you really know what to look for, you can find them!

Locate your topic, feature the infographic. .

11. # Most asked questions about ______________

You're the expert, tell us!

Last. Commenting and Reacting:
When people start reacting to your blog post in FB or in your blog, say something nice to them. Converse/talk to them. "I appreciate the time you took to respond to this. Really cool response. They have given you a gift of their thought, attention and time. Give them something back.

Required Assignment:

Come up with 25 blog post titles regarding your topic of interest using the examples of blog post titles shown to you here.

Here's the catch: You don't need to research any of it today. Just come up with TITLES using your most favorite topic.

Post your answers in your blog and in the Facebook group! Remember to tell us what your blog is all about in the first place.

Coming up next:
1. Classic headlines meant for sales letters from my collection.
2. Top attention getting email subjects that I've used in the past (based on my statistics on a filipino crowd). This is precious as it comes from my personal experience.

No overload:
Comment: I didn't get any complaints of "Information Overload" regarding the Marketing Master Insider. That's great. Did you know that 1000% of people who study online marketing complain about "too much info?". That's why this appears to be a very short set of lessons. It's a year long education for you. I hope you're happily absorbing and applying the lessons.

Tip: Actually each lesson is packed if you pay attention to the name dropping I'm doing in each lesson. For example if you're asking, "Jomar, what book can I read on marketing?" Last week I taught you one of the classics by John Caple, so you just need to do this google search for this name to come up with his books --that you can order via Amazon or locate in the bookstores.

Tip: I also mention websites in each issue, visit them : For example in this issue, I mentioned buzzfeed.com. Visit it. Find out what it does. I know it will help you. You have Ipad/Ipod Touch/Iphone/Android? Download the apps I mention. Study! Study! Study!

Question: I've shrunk the images because one of you - GIGI said she prints it out. This saves ink. Is this okay, or will I go back to huge imag
Now live a marvelous life,
Jomar Hilario
